Cliffside Camp; The Harpy; Initial Recon

I don’t have many notes from this session in sentence format, cobbling together what I have here

☕ Start of session

The party has headed towards the Clifftop Observatory, following Tarak’s request to investigate Runara’s disappearance.

Day 1 - afternoon/evening

• Took the overland route to the
• Noted traces of feathers, owlbear tracks
• Made camp ~75 feet from the bridge
• Michael and Elmer went stick-searching; Michael came back with an 8.5 stick
• Drinking and telling stories around the campfire
• A harpy suddenly falls flat on its face from above
• Vera offers it a bottle of beer
• The harpy has perhaps a lower-class English, or, well, perhaps an Australian, accent.
• The harpy has seen Sparkrender fly back and forth over the past several days
• The harpy knows that Runara has previously come to this area, but haven’t seen her recently
• The party offers the harpy 2 more beers for her comrades and she departs

“slugger” and Robin do recon around the clifftop buttes that are jutting out about 50 feet from the sea level:

• What appears to be a harpy nest in the NW
• A deteriorated library of some kind in the SW
• The central butte is the largest and contains a golden sculpture, along with 5 statues of dragons, each a different color, seemingly assembled from rubble

Sparkrender appears from the observatory building and is seen fiddling with the dragon statues and looking at notes, pacing. Eventually he goes back in.
