Battle of the Bullywugs; Following Kelek; “slugger” loves a portal

The party has agreed to help Willowbrush the buffalo and rescue Yooni.

The party leaps into action. Michael determines that now’s as good a time as any and shoots a longbow at one of the puffy mushrooms near the bullywugs to start things off.
Battle notes:
- The bullywugs are trying to drag Yooni towards the portal
- Vera used Mirror image very successfully, and also made an unseen servent who tried to cut the net with a stone. Failing to do that, they blew in the ear of one of the bullywugs
- Elmer successfully guessed some of the names of the bullywugs
- Michael and Willowbrush took a lot of the attacks, but neither went down
- Vera used Command: Flee on 2 of the bullywugs
- Michael killed one of the bullywugs fleeing before it could get away
- Elmer got his first taste of Magic Missle, very nice
- Robin (eventually) ripped apart the net tangling Yooni

By the time the net was removed, the majority of the bullywugs were either fleeing or dead, and the goblinlike commander (name unknown - “Mister Ecommander”, the party agreed) also fled.
Willowbrush gave the party 2 healing potions. The party made sure Yooni was okay, and got the following information about the situation:
- Willowbrush and Knock saw the evil wizard Kelek portaling in and taking Yooni’s horn
- Unicorn horns (
alicorns) are powerful magic items, and are usually difficult to obtain. W & K saw Kelek take it by tapping it with his staff - Kelek then disappeared into the portal with the horn, telling the bullywug crew to take the de-horned unicorn with them if they wanted, as it would be a useful work animal.
- Kelek mentioned using the horn in a ritual
“slugger” shot into the portal! On the other side was a damp and misty cave, with walls of shimmering crystal and a ceiling with a similar shine, but made up of some kind of force field. Growing out of crevices in the walls were dense, thorny brambles, although they only poked out of the wall a little.
“slugger” heard the footsteps of a quadruped in the room to the north, but couldn’t see or sense what it was without moving forward into the room. “slugger” stayed put, and also heard some sniffling from the same creature (as in sniffles, not as in sniffs). “slugger” headed out of the portal and relayed this to Elmer.
The party took a short rest. The short rest will end at around 3PM.
