Kelek is a fool; Restor’n the horn; Boulder butter?
☕ Start of session
“Pathetic worms! The horn is mine, and none shall stand in the way of my destiny!”
What now
Vera attempts to convince Kelek that the horn will infect him with Syphilis, but Kelek sees through this ruse and calls upon his worgs to attack the party!
Battle!
Kelek and his worgs dealing consistent damage to the party, but the party has plenty of help from the bullywugs, King Gurgle, and Nosey.
“slugger” and Robin poke at Kelek. Vera’s unseen servent manages to brush away some of the ritual circle drawings.
Elmer, after a couple of misses, finally lands a critical hit on Kelek!
As Elmer’s hit lands, things suddenly seem to stop, and a terrifying face appears from a portal behind Kelek. A booming, yet screechy, voice is heard:
Kelek, Kelek, Kelek. You dumbass. You fool. You think I want this kind of idiotic behavior running the realms? I offer you the potential of a mere portion of my power, but you get beaten to bits by these lowly adventurers? I see your true character, as do these mortals. The test is complete, you have utterly failed, and you will pay the price. I have no use for you in this place any longer.
Begone, all of you!
Then what
The floor disappears from beneath Kelek, and he drops the Unicorn Horn. It tumbles your way, and then the floor suddenly disappears from beneath you, too. Oh dear.
The party and their companions tumble through darkness for just a sec, then find themselves sitting back near the woodland pool with Uni. Thankfully, the horn came through the not-floor with you.
Well, you still have the stew.
Returning the horn
The party locks Uni’s horn back into place, and Uni feels much better. Uni, Willowbrush, and Knock offer a favor, by way of a letter, to the party as a reward:
This letter bears the signature and arcane sigil of Sayal Dirtobol, and says:
"By the terms of a magically binding agreement, the bearer of this letter is owed one favor from Sayal Dirtobol or, in the event of their untimely demise, one of Sayal's devoted apprentices."
Everyone else (bullywugs, Nosey) are fine, and go their separate ways.
Back to it
The party continues through the woods after a rest. They run into some stone giants, who initially seem hostile as they are throwing rocks towards the party. Vera speaks giant, however, and has a nice chat with the guys about how throwing boulders (bless the boulders) is a good time and how they wish they had some boulder butter to really make things better. The giants let them pass.
Approaching Floryck’s home
We wrap up for the evening as the party approaches (what they suspect is) Floryck’s home. It’s a charming cottage surrounded by pumpkins and fairy lights.
